A Christmas Celebration

Our Christmas meeting, combining open mic and writing-based festivities with a talk on comedy in writing from Gerry Thompson. This meeting will be held in the basement bar of the Charles Dickens Pub, Heene Road, Worthing.

Gerry Thompson is an Irish standup comedian, humourist, poet and best-selling author, whose books have sold over half a million copies in 30 languages worldwide. His humorous titles include the parody of human relationships, Cats are from Venus, Dogs are from Mars. Gerry runs Positive Comedy Training, coaching writers and other professionals in writing with humour and speaking/ performance skills. Positive Comedy is included in 2018’s Top Ten UK humour blogs and websites.

After Gerry’s talk there were will be time for open mic. The evening will be presented in a cabaret format with a bar and plenty of time for mingling. This event is FREE for WSW Members and £3 for non-members, with festive finger food and a drink included in the price.
